Grats Mate..

Neither of my cars do 35mpg.
I think the only thing I own that might come close is my lawnmower – but it's not good on motorways.

Lmao we'll play soon mate, kitchen is being dug up at home and cant really stay there, so over aunties on laptop and my ps3 and clocked up 9 hours straight gameplay on MGS4! Crazy!

and if ya diss me, ima stick you with a blue nade, ;) (ill stick you with one anyway though, to be fair.)

35mph is pretty juicy though, but again it is a 1.6, but it should be alright for me. Shame insurance will be a killer.

Nest find a 990 cc car with a value of about £500 or less and you might just manage to insure it for less than the cost of a small flat

Well done on passing your test though :xbeer: :xbeer: :xbeer:

Congratulations :xbeer:

35mpg is pretty good as mine falls short of that too and it looks like i'll be keeping it for a while now i've spent a fair bit of cash on it over the last 3 or 4 months.

Get yourself a small diesel if you're going to clock up some serious mileage ;)

I just LOL'd.

with a car im quite cautious anyway, luckily ive had a years experience on the road with a bike anyway, so im sure that's helped with road/user awareness.

and yes, A deisel seems like the best idea, but they are quite expensive...

I'll just stick to insuring myself on my dads/mums auto car. Hell, they wont be using it much (got a minibus and a jeep to use lol)

at least ive got some transport for the minibike and the quad!! can't wait to get insured and feel some sort of freedom!

Congrats, a whole new world of freedom just opened up for you.

Get used to being tough on your mates for petrol money though :)
In Oct I'm cycling 66 miles through NYC for the MS Society. I was diagnosed with MS in 2003 so it's for a cause close to my heart. Please sponsor me, even a couple of quid is great. Thanks!

yeah thats completely true, I know one of my mates uses the other all the time trying to blag free lifts and stuff. It aint happening with me.

The car is probably something I'll use once a week, if that to be honest. Just nice having the option for a bike or the car.

The bosses dad is after trading his bmw in for a little corsa diesel. He's had one before and prefered it to his latest motor. He reckons he got 70mpg. That's around 2.5x more than I get from mine.

If you're only going to use it once a week, then you might as well just borrow your mums. I was out everyday in mine and off to the seaside or the Lake District most weekends.

£1.69 a gallon back then though ;)
