Now that is an interesting picture.

That deepest dive is crazy! Well over a thousand atmospheres of pressure!

Probably a stupid question, but how do humans survive that? I know they're inside a submarine, but surely the risks of that buckling under the pressure must be quite high?

Make it really strong, and pressurise it. HTH. ;)
At this point we decided to call it a day, and move onto something safer... like the over the blind crest third gear one leg off stand-up wheelie competition.

It's a figure of speech becca.

I want to summit kilimanjaro too, but rather than saying walk up the mountain, most ordinary people say climb.

very poignant story. You just can't underestimate how difficult Everest is, and it is only possible if so many factors all come together right at just the right time.

Imagine paying a $65,000 fee on top of all your travel costs, equipment costs etc, to then die alone on top of a mountain, exhausted, freezing and suffocating.....

Sod that for a laugh!!

I think that's going to be my next buy, it's about the Eiger isn't it? A lot of Joe Simpson's, The Beckoning Silence is also about the Eiger and references The White Spider...
